Best practices for inviting your team to Spiffy

By following these 3 pointers, we guarantee an easy-to-adopt sign-up flow for your team members!

Sending invites to your team can be a crucial step when your organization has many locations! Whether you’re a team of 10 or 2,000, today we’re going to review some of our best practices for sending invites.

1. Ensuring Content is in their Feed

Before sending invites, you want to ensure there is learning material in their feed. If they join an empty feed, they can get confused and form negative connotations with their app experience.

We suggest deploying at least 1 module welcoming your team to Spiffy and explaining what your expectations for them are. A quick video can be filmed in self-mode and uploaded in under 5 minutes, and it’s always comforting when employees see a familiar face in-app!

2) Ensuring Contact Info is Correct

When possible, we advise gathering your team member's emails to send email invites. Please be advised it is possible, the invites could end up in the spam folder depending on the filters of this individual employee.

3) Communicating to the Team

Spiffy suggests communicating the date and method they can expect the invites to arrive. This transparency helps with team adoption rates and helps to make onboarding run a lot quicker and smoother.

A quick “hey team, we’re rolling out a new training platform called Spiffy to ensure we’re up to date on our industry insides. Be sure to keep a lookout for a text message invite on Friday so that you create your account and join our team asap” does the job :)

Knowing when to use CSV vs. 1x1 invitations

For the onboarding of teams, using the ‘Invite from CSV’ button is very quick and easy. By clicking this button, you can download the proper template and fill in all your employee details at once. Once you save the CSV and reupload it to the Dashboard, you can invite 2,000+ employees with the click of a button.

We recommend sending 1:1 invites using the 'Invite Team Member' option when onboarding a team of 5 people or less or inviting newly hired employees.

Outstanding Invites

The outstanding invites section within the team members tab of the menu lists all the outstanding invites. The employees listed here are those that have received invites that have yet to accept them. Check this section often so that you can ensure team members are joining to begin enhancing their career performance and sales techniques.

If you sort the outstanding invites by the date they were issued, you can begin resending the oldest invites first to remind employees to join!

Pending Approval

This section is for employees that have joined from within the app rather than from an invite. These people will require your approval before they can begin engaging with learning material.

To see a list of employees pending approval, visit the ‘team members’ tab of the menu and select the section on the farthest right.

Remember, you can delete invitations and employees from your team by clicking on the red x button in the row possessing their name. Should you ever need to modify what

Forgot Passlocation an existing team member is a part of, you can do this by visiting their employee profile (clicking into their name from the ‘Team Member’ tab of the menu) and selecting ‘change location’ at the bottom of the page.

If for any reason, a team member has any issues signing in, please advise them to use the ‘forgot password’ button on the sign-in page before contacting us at support@withspiffy.com
